After an almost complete and total FAIL growing here at my place, I went ahead and planted some seedlings at mum's. Plenty of sun there; never seen an aphid or mite there in my life; and most certainly NO POSSUMS!
Here's what's rockin' over there:
1 x 7 Pod Yellow
1 x Bhut Jolokia
1 x De Arbol
1 x Mulato
1 x Guajillo
2 x Jimmy Nardello
1 x Kashmiri Mirch
1 x Paprika
1 x Pasilla Bajio
1 x Pimientos De Padron
2 x Purple Beauty
1 x Tepin
1 x Mystery
(De Arbol, Kashmiri Mirch, Paprika and Tepin not looking the greatest, but we'll see what goes down.)
To join them soon after some hardening off will be:
1 x Aji Panca
2 x Bhut Jolokia Choc
1 x Bih Jolokia
1 x Bonda ma Jacques
2 x Dorset Naga
1 x Manzano Amarillo
2 x Pusa Jwala
1 x Scotch Bonnet
1 x Sweet Chocolate
I mixed my own potting mix after some first-hand false-claimage experience. Excellent drainage my ass! Following Hippy Neil's advice, I'm using a mix of some plain old Potting Mix, Coir, Perlite and Dynamic Lifter pellets. Whacked some mulch on the surface to help with moisture retention. If all goes well, I might get away with only having to travel there twice a week for watering and maintenance.
Pics soon.
