seeds Seeds sprouted in pod (Chocolate Bhut)

I had a Chocolate Bhut pod for about 2 weeks just sitting on a table in my room so I decided to deseed it. Upon opening the pod I noticed 4 seeds had sprouted! Took those 4 seeds and placed them in potting soil and within 2 days, they've popped up.

Just thought I'd share and get any thoughts. Thanks

Thoughts? Nature does it's thing without any help from us. Often our plants die because we over-tend them. So +1 to Idiot Piquant.

I had the same thing happen last year with some Manzano pods. I must have planted 30 seeds in the attempt to get at least one to seedling stage, but no dice... I figured that since they grow and ripen so slowly the seeds must have come from pods picked too early. stc3248 mailed me one of his extra Manzano plants, and I left a few pods on it 'til they got over-ripe and flabby to make sure there would be viable seeds inside. When I cut into them I found that about half the seeds had already sprouted. Go figure...
