I had posted the link in the cook-off section....

Well we went to the competition was this afternoon. Had a great turnout. My daughter and I entered in the "Non-Commercial" Hot class.


We took "Best Hot Chili" didn't take Grand Champ but we came home with a trophey so evidently the judges like Bhut Jolokia Chili!!!! A few pics will be posted shortly....

So that adds another Trophey to our awards......:onfire:
 
Congratulations! Sounds like a great time, especially the father daughter time that was spent together. One question, does she share the tasting and eating of said hot chili?
 
She is my taste tester right up to the point when I add the Hot peppers then I take over...lol...she does like a mild Jalepeno burn so far so hopefully her taste for the hot will grow with her!!!! She is an great cook at only 10 years old!!!
 
I thought my daughter took more pics then this....here are the only 2...but I will post the pics and newspaper article when it comes out as well.....

its an old family recipe!! Beef lots of it......natures musical fruit oh ya plenty of beans!!!!! Tomatoes...............Cocoa.........onions green peppers lots of different spices and brown sugar................lots and lots of stuff in it!!! lol......



and oh ya.....BHUT JOLOKIA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
 
Congratulations on a nice trophy. Uhm...BTW, how many awards have you received so far? I can't wait till my daughter is old enough to enjoy doing this with me.

This was our 4th award.....We have 2 award winning BBQ sauces, 1 award winning Hot Sauce......and now we have 1 Chili Cook Off award and hopefully more to follow!!!!

Awesome! Pretty soon you'll have to set up a trophy room. :lol: These are the things your daughter will remember for ever. How cool.
