shade shade cover

what is the best way for a shade cover? above the plants or like a wall so it cast a shadow in late afternoon?

for anything large: above and it won't affect air flow like a wall.

for smaller area like a few feet you could just do a wall if that's your fancy.

yea, it would be 20ft long. i was just wondering if it was above that it might be do much shade. thanks

Looking forward to the replies on this one. I have all mine in pots so I can move them around lol, but I'd like to build something so I don't have to haul a bunch of 10 gallon pots around

I currently have 30% overhead and a 50% panel (as one wall) on the afternoon sun side. It is working well for me so far.

Just felt like I had to. Here i Denmark we're lucky if we even get up in the eightees. I have a greenhouse where it's warm enough tho.
