Show us your Plant Out 2018 Photos

Share some of your plant out photos from 2018.  This is us setting the first rows.  We rebuild the rows alternately, every couple years.  First a layer of yard waste, sticks, tree limbs, grass, leaves, barn scrapings.  Then a layer of top soil.  Even whole tree branches are turned to dirt by the time of the next reset.  Not saying it is the best method in the world, but so far no sign of bad nourishment even with no chemical fertilizer.

Your turn.  How do you grow?

Edmich, is that corn in the right had corner?  Knee high by the fourth of july?  Oh damn.  Ours is maybe six inches now.
Yep they're a little over 3 feet tall now.

Good duck!  I need one that will eat aphids, white flies, chinch bugs, love bugs, sod grubs, snails, lizards, snakes, frogs and toads, squirrels (lots of them), and the occasional solicitor that can't read the "no soliciting" sign.

I dont "plant out" much. I have this roughly 6'x9' ground plot and a little trellis plot against the house.

Ever heard of Lasagna Gardening? I used it for years and above sounds very close! Keep layering... leaves - grass clippings - weeds - potato peelings - wood ashes all good! Good Great growing season AJ!

Bhuter, wow that soil looks rich.
Thank you, AJ! The only thing I add to it is: I spread a granular fert, then just epsom and lime in each hole. They always do so much better when I get them in the ground. Thanks again!

What, the duck? Those things have a buncha different nicknames... Barbary Duck, Mute Duck, Pato Casero, etc...

I wish I had the kinda property that could support a lil flock of ducks
My uncle has laying ducks - Welsh Harlequins. 2 drakes and I think he's up to 14 hens (just adopted 5 that a friend needed to offload). They're dual purpose birds, though I don't think he's slaughtered any yet. They're all in a roughly 20x15 ft pen.
