Simple holiday dripper - going away for a few days !?

I know this is an old school idea and i have used it for years.
But I thought I might throw it up anyways, some may not have seen it ;)

As I am going away for a few days, I needed my random plants watered that were not in my "watering system"

So i threw together these for a 2-3 day water;

- dripper on the bottom was 20cents from nursery.
- hole in top of lid.
- Hang or stand it up in pot or garden.

Simple ideas are often the best.
- I have a few bucket setups as well, that hold 20ltrs and can last 2 weeks..

Thanks for sharing that i may look into using the spike stlye ones. Now to figure out how to make them or how much are they?

Too quick ! - This is why I wanted to get the dripper nipples that I can regulate.
With my 20ltr buckets I usually do a constant drip, with the coke bottles I like to have it around 1 drop every 5-8 seconds.

My spikes are the same the flow is way too fast, I've thought about putting some form of packing into it. Maybe cotton wool balls or something similar.
 
Well they worked well !
All plants happy, and still had probably another day in the 1.25ltr bottles.
SO that was Friday arvo they were filled.. Sunday Arvo now.
