My point was if someone was to look up "pepper joes ghost pepper sauce" because they want a review it didn't tell them anything because it was in another video

If I want to get a video review on a jeep commander and the person says "the interior is the same as a grand Cherokee except the floor mats say commander". I'm not going to bother looking up the interior of a Cherokee I'm going to look for another review

Reviews are about supplying people with information and some opinions from people who know to people who don't. I know nothing about that sauce other than instant tongue heat and you can smell vinegar but I don't even know if vinegar is in it.

These are just more MeTube videos of someone eating hot stuff in front of a camera.

Texture, aroma, consistency, flavor profile, cost, & labeling are all lacking here.

Here is a Review...

I watched your Pepper Joe's ButchT sauce review on FB, and was really not going to comment, but now that it is here I will. Slade, if you are going to do hot sauce reviews, you need to do more than say its hot and its a good sauce. People want to know what it looks like, so show them, then tell them what the aroma smells like, not "it has a good aroma" more like, it has the sweet smell of apples, the pungency of the fresh bhuts, and has the tart smell of the vinegar and lime." Also, what is the consistency, is it runny, is it thick? Talk about the heat, how fast does it come on? Is it a stinging biting tip of the tongue heat, or a slow, building, back of the throat heat? In other words, give some description with your comments. I am assuming that Pepper Joe gave you those sauces to review for him. Maybe talk about him a little. Anyone with a bottle of hot sauce and a camera can do a review, but it takes work and practice to be a reviewer. Please take my comments as constructive criticism and work on it. Good luck.

I can't agree with JayT more.

I will add to his feedback: why take a whole tablespoon of sauce? I know it's a macho thing, and a lot of "stunt reviewer" folks do it - but ChiliHunter recently commented on this too. It comes off like an ego thing - and it takes away from your credibility as a serious reviewer. From there you're hiccuping & dripping snot and none of that is at all appetizing in any way. I really don't see how you can seriously review the flavor once you've eaten such a large amount of sauce - especially one this hot. 1/4 of that amount would allow you to describe the flavor and heat just as well - probably even better. And when used as intended (e.g. on food, since hot sauce is a condiment) you'll never eat that much at once, ever. So what good does it do the hot sauce consuming audience to know what 1 Tbsp tastes like?

Finally, you gave the sauce a 9/10? For what? For heat? For flavor? Overall? You should go into detail about rating if you're going to assign a rating to sauce - you'll see in the awards judging and in reviewers like JayT, Scott Roberts, Brian Meghar, etc - they all assign ratings for the categories: Mouth-Feel, heat level, flavor, appropriateness for category, etc. This is what the consumer needs to know to benefit from your reviews. Always remember that you're not doing the review for Pepper Joe, and you're not doing it for yourself. You are (presumably) doing a hot sauce review so that your audience can gain insight to the product you are reviewing and make a better educated decision on whether or not to make a purchase from it. The better informed we are, the more likely it is that we will be influenced by the review.

Like JayT, I offer all of this as constructive and I'm not trying to bash you at all - you know I've been a supporter of yours in the past, and my only goal here is to see improved reviews from anyone who's doing them. I'm a hot sauce consumer as well, and I often use reviews to guide my online purchases.

Looking forward to your future reviews.
