Slow Grow

I have seen so many of you having pods and peppers already. mine are still small and looks like I may have some pods soon as one I started early Feb has growth at the internodes (Jon's piquin offspring) Bent's Siam have nice growth but slow and the Mystery Thai (?) is doing well also, Bentalphenard did they have a purpelish first leaves on them?. The weather hasnt been all that terrific some days in the high 80's low 90's to torrential downpours and 50's at night. I am starting to get better growth as daylight is getting longer and warmer but man I am getting awefully jealous and impatient, maybe its cause I look at them and talk to them too much every day

I fertilize (10-15-10)with water every four days or so with Schultzes liquid fertilizer I have them in a mix of cactus and potting soil. There aren't any defects in the leaves and such I suppose pictures would help I will try to get those in here later

Is it me being impatient

Patience is a virtue.

Not one of mine, mind you, but still, it's a virtue.

You might want to back off on the fertilizer a bit if you're not seeing the results you want. I wouldn't fertilize but every two weeks or so, unless I was trying to correct a specific problem.

Ya, cut back on the fertilizer (every 4 days is WAAAAAAYYYY too much, try once every two weeks), post a picture of my piquin off spring, and then ask them why they are not flowering. Keep in mind, my piquins just started to flower two or three weeks ago.

Like Pam said...PATIENCE! I know its hard man. If you are anything like me you check your plants 4 or 5 times a day and it seems like they are doing nothing. Almost all of mine were shrimpy until this last week then all of a sudden BOOM they just started growing like crazy. Some are still stuck in the "HMM SHOULD I GROW OR NOT" stage, but I know that they will go when they are ready. Another thing to remember is that, like me, you are not blessed enough to be in the warmer zones like alot of these folks are. Good luck man.....don't give up!!

Thanks all.
