pests Some kind of pest on my tabasco plant

Hey All,

I don't have any pictures, but I noticed some sort of pest on my tabasco plant. They were small tan insects that didn't move much. I sprayed with some mildly soapy water, and they didn't seem to move much then either. I have looked at pictures of aphids, and these don't seem like aphids, but I can't determine what they are. I would like to know, so that I can pick the right remedy before they get the better of my tabasco plant. Any suggestions of what these fairly immobile little tan parasites may be are quite welcome.

Edit: I found some pictures of aphids that were not green, so maybe these really are aphids. I think I am going to buy some neem at lowes on my way home.

Does it look like they are damaging your plant Steve?

Not too much so far, but I always look at my plants very carefully, so this is the very beginning of their infestation. I want to quite literally nip it in the bud before irreversible damage is done. Can you feel me, brother?
