Thanks for the idea, now i need to cut a hole to get into my attic because when we bought the house the people who redid the inside covered up the opening :P
 
There's a fan on the ceiling up there that sucks out the hot air also. I'm very lucky to have this space in my house, thanks to the guy who lived here before and was using it to grow marijuana. Most people here in Colorado grow that stuff in a grow room, i however am not into it anymore and prefer the high i get from super hot chiles. keep you guys posted on my results. The plants i have up there now are moving very slow but it's moving along. Why are naga jolokia's so hard to keep alive?

I have read those are good lights, i tell you though my t5 seems to put out more heat then what people talk about t5's and heat.
I would also have a oscillating fan on them full time just to make them stronger etc..
No clue on the Naga's i have a couple but there only like 2-3" tall is all.
 
yeah it's still not super warm here so it's been about 60 to 80 up there in the attic. This light runs on t-5s. 8 for 70$. I need it bad just waiting on my first credit card to come in the mail.

i hav eto monitor the temps up there. I have a 1000 hps setup for veg. Cranks out mega heat and eats up lots of juice! Thinking it will be this fall before i can veg em out.
 
Thats a huge space, doesn't look like it from the pics, but I can tell by the ballast. I've never met anyone with a Maurijuana grow, but I was acused of it once, that also brings up a memory of my brother who smokes that huka stuff, the cops just knew he was smoking pot, when they pulled him over, for...... "Not signaling when they got behind him with there lights on. funny but not.
Brother got a ticket for not signaling... to get over for a emergency vehicle.
If you knew my anal retentive brother, I can only imagine him sitting there with the cops searching his car with a big huka pipe in the front seat, civil rights, who needs'em right? What has happened to America?
Anyway that space is going to get too hot, your going to need some air exchange, not sure about the "weed" but peppers will wilt and growth wil stunt then stop after the 02 levels decrease.
 
they sell co2 release cans at the Hydro shops here in Colorado. I have a fan that the guy before me put in the ceiling that sucks out air. Pretty sure i can use to suck in air also. There is also a spot in the wall in the main room for an ac unit with tubes running throught the back of the walls to vent. I will have an ac unit in the future and hopefully a current culture hydro setup by next spring.
 
hows this for grow tech? Picking this stuff up Thursday for 650$! moving on up to the east side!

Nice cooled hoods. MH I would think? is that 2 MH and 3 hps? Or Are those different sizes like 1000w or 600w? Should be a really clean set up. What size ventalition is that 6" or 8"?

Very nice, you are doing it the correct way. You will have real production.
 
the ones on the ground are 400 w hps to metal hylide there are some light rails too on the side with some watering trays and a cloning light. sick deal picking it up thursday in grand junction. time to own some chile production. mu hobby is getting pricy!
 
I would have nearly killed to have gotten those prices. Lots of goodies to put together, Im jealous.
If you setup up the lights so they are air cooled with 6" ducting and exhaust fan, as well as put another seperate exhaustt fan for the room air... you;ll be laughing. only exhaust fans pointing outta the house, with passive intake... if you push air into the room instead of pull it out. it will be incredibly more inneficient and harder on the fans.

to re-iderate. HEAT will be your issue here. and if you do it well in advance.... you will have a jungle with those lights
 
See...here's what you do:

When the cops show up at the door to bust you for growing pot, lead them calmly up to the pepper grow room in your attic and then offer them a chocolate hab.

They'll be so embarrassed and apologetic, they'll never think to check the basement for the REAL mary-jane grow-op... :dance:
 
amps im totally growing choc habs! i've got exsiting holes in the walls where the guy who set it up before me was pulling in air. I've got a fan on the ceiling that suck out hot air. its running on a timer right now. I put the cheap 400 watt light in my side room. time to pwn some mother fucking chiles!
