pod-i.d. Sri Lankan chilli pepper?

IMG-20241213-WA0025.jpg

Size: 2-3cm long (0.7-1.2 inches).
Bought in an Asian supermarket in Milan. The clerk said they are from Sri Lanka and that they were very strong.
Obviously they were not very strong 🤣 (just a kick in the throat, but quite persistent).
Flavor: herbaceous (cut grass, sorrel, green bell pepper), citrus (lemon, lime), a bit of bitter floral, cucumber, and radicchio in the finish.
Overall fresh, crunchy, but strong bitter herbaceous flavor.
When dry, they become more yellow.

I sowed them, but I was wondering what they were!

A bird pepper from Sri Lanka they refer to as kochchi miris which translates to demon pepper.
Thanks!!! 🤩 Lol, username checks out... after Red pepper from hell, this one also seems made for me :fireball:
Until now I had assumed a C.frutescens so it should be correct.
I will update the post to say what they will taste like, since the ones I bought were a bit immature and moist, I hope they are better!
