Sri Lanken?

These ones were supposed to be "Sri Lanken White" peppers.... weird plant - some pods are roundish, others longish. Comments?
 
I'm thinking it is just an unstable strain, or maybe naturally cross-pollinated?

That is crazy! Almost like two separate plants grafted together. Very bizarre.
