Stunted Pepper Plants & Coffee Grounds

I came across this article and it sounds logical.

I have a batch of peppers that are stunted from , um lets see now... too much water?-maybe, too much light?-maybe, too much fertilizer?-maybe, Fungus Gnat larva?-maybe Not enough air circulation?-maybe

They're outside now getting fresh air for almost a week and they seem to be slowly on the mend. I'll try some coffee grounds on some and see.

IMO, that's a uselessly vague 'article.'

Coffee grounds take quite a while to decompose. Go ahead and toss them on, but don't expect overnight miracles.

The main reason for using coffee grounds is nitrogen, but as mentioned it does take awhile for it to break down and actually be available to the plant. If you want faster results, a liquid fertilizer emphasizing nitrogen would provide quick results.
