Super chile?

What is it?

I never heard of super chiles eny other place then here? I realize that they give you a lot of peppers, but are they super in any other way?

They're pretty super attractive as well. Look nice with all those chiles changing colors at once. I'm not sure their flavor is too super. The one I had last summer at a friend's house was nice and hot, about like a cayenne. The flavor wasn't bad, but not something I'd want to snack on all the time.

I'm growin em this year and my little plant is putting up a ton of pods. They look really cool, but won't know how they taste until they ripen.
Will let ya know once I've tried one.

Is there a super chile(chilli) and a super chile hybrid or are they both the same? The ones I grew were cayenneish and not very tastey but a very good producer

Yep, they seem like a fantastic producer especially from a smaller compact plant. I haven't tried one yet so I can't comment on taste and with the cold weather we've been having, I probably won't be able to comment for some time :(

They give a you a good sting - hotter than a cayenne but not as hot as my (still green) tabascos fresh off the bush. I've been using them in fresh salsa for an added bite ... and I'm drying some but I haven't done the grinding yet to use them for anything.

First pic looks like an Ahaheim or Numex and the others look like cayennes. Super chiles pods grow erect(upright)
