pod Supposed to be Thai pepper but seems way to big

I'm hoping someone can help me identify this pepper plant. It was supposed to be a thai chili plant but the peppers are massive compared to a thai chili.

Thai grows upward like @Tinkerbelle099 said, plus you're right, it's way too big. Looks vaguely Anahiem-ish but a bit small and not straight enough.
