temperature range ?

I live in the Modesto area of California and we are having temps in the 70's during the days and in the low to mid 40's at nights. Is it ok to leave my plants I'm planning to over winter out with these temps ? This will be my first time over wintering my peppers. I would like to leave them in the ground as long as possible without killing them. Thanks !

uh yeah, it seems like they are getting plenty warm in the daytime.
Ok thanks, this is my first year growing peppers so I'm just trying to learn and do the right thing. Once again thank you !

I find that Pepper production does slow down at those temps, but it they will ripen just fine. Once your high drops in to the 50's They start to move slowly. Below 50F, they crawl. But thats just my experience.

I'm in your boots Savina, Cali areas and unsure if plants will survive. My climate is different from more coastal socal :/
