The elusive White Jalapeno

I am looking for white jalapeno pods and or seeds i haven't been able to find this pepper or seeds anywhere i did get some seeds from a friend but he told me the seeds may not grow because he got his seeds after he dehydrated his peppers and the seeds may have gotten cooked, i am trying to germinate them now but it doesn't look good so far,

IF you have any seeds please let me know i will eather trade or buy them.

Hey slade. Farmers market in San Diego sells them in season. Try http://www.specialtyproduce.com
I tried some a while back. Don't remember much heat.

I talked to the people at specialty and was told they never herd of a white jalapeno.

I talked to a few seed people and they all told mt that there is no white jalapeno that the Santa Fe Grande Hot Pepper is the only thing the resembles a white jalapeno

I guess they shouldn't advertise or sell them then.

The White Jalapeno is also known as the Jalapeno Guerro in Mexico, and a Bogyiszloi in Hungary. This variety is a Sante Fe type of pepper similar to a Sante Fe Grande. The two differ as the Sante Fe Grande is larger and more of a triangular pepper. The White Jalapeno Pepper was created specifically for the pepper demand in the Hungarian Market.
Sorry for the misinformation.

Yeah i seen that page but was told they do not sell them and the girl that told me that said she has never seen then go through there business, and other people said that the sante fe pepper is the closest thing i can get to it.

happyquail sent me to specialty. heres the response i got from happy "We grow a white jalapeño type aka Santa Fe. We are not seed vendors, look for pepper seed vendors or seed companies offering peppers and look for Santa Fe types is my recommendation."
