The General Taco thread. All things taco.

So, I've been wandering around the site trying to find a general taco thread. I'm sure it exists but the only thing I ran across was taco tuesdays and tex mex. I have tacos whenever I can. To hell with Tuesdays! So this is a thread to post your badass tacos. Recipe or not. Just put up a pic. All tacos welcome.

My dinner
slow cooked, dry rubbed, and smoked pork shoulder shredded and built with some of Salsa Lady's Chipotle BBQ!

Hey y'all.

Chico came by The Blues Casa last night.

He was feelin' all apologetic n' sheeit about trashing my bathroom last week and I was feelin' sorry for the guy anyway because he got all bit up by fire ants while doing some yard work for me.

I reckoned I'd fix him supper using some ground beefage leftover from earlier slider tomfoolishnessess.

Made a little picadillo out of it with garlic, 'peno's, onion, diced tomato, and chile powder.

Since Chico is afterall Mexican, I figured I'd give him something that at least looked like real deal Mexican food and just threw on cold shredded cheese to give it that Mexican authentic Taco Bell look.

Te' quieres Taco Bell?

I don't eat Taco Bell so I didn't eat these but still I had to take a pic before I handed the plate over to Chico.

I guess he enjoyed them.

I thought I heard him mumblin' somethin' while he was eating them.

"taco's al cabron" I reckon it was.

Afterwards he headed down the hall to The Blues Shitter.

After what he did in there last week I put a lock on the door.

He came back a minute or two later saying he really needed to wash his hands.

I handed him the key that was attached with a small chain to an old tire rim.

Ejole'!

I haven't noticed Green O's in your pics in a long time, TB. They make that taco look right.

The only way to get true, authentic Mexican tacos, is to squirt some sour cream on it like Taco Bell does.

wanky wanky.

Orale! Sum.

Authentic Taco Bell Mexican does have splooge del crema,

Green onions also make any style cuisine authentic.

Simon wey!

Here my taco... Smoked eyerib, jamaican hot yellow sauce (with red onion and lime juice), taquera sauce "La Costeña" and sour cheese,

Nice Cypress - Good thing for the translator in my browser

I still have yours locked away as well Chris - I going to whoop ass on a Tri-tip this weekend and want to use your Chimi recipe

Other homemade piadine... As always Sauvignon on dough.
Fried some onions with fire oil, added salt, black pepper, some garlic, sage, rosemary. Then put bacon. After a while cooked with evaporating wine.. Added some tomato slices then beans.

Today we made taquitos dorados de pollo(fried golden chicken). The guac was made with a manzano. The green "salsa taquera" is made by boiling 5 jalapeños until very soft and putting them in the blender with about 1 tablespoon of the water, 1 teaspoon knorr suiza bouillon chicken powder and slowly drizzle veg oil while blender is going until you get preferred consistency. The brown salsa is made by my neighbor in Piedras and she sells it frozen, it's red and green jalapeños but very hot. We top the tacos with cabbage and onion. My favorite topping is cueritos(pickled pork skins), but I was lazy and didn't pick any up today.
