glog The Greenman's SPL Crosses reborn glog.

Thanks to Bhuter for prodding me with his pics of my Crosses, I've decided to grow another round for this fall/winter. Barring any disastrous hurricanes, I hope to get the Pepper band back together as it were.
I dropped seeds from 6 of my crosses (plus Datil) yesterday on a heated tray inside my garage/storage room. If the heat tray doesn't cook them, and with any luck, I should have some sprouts in a few days.
In this batch
(BSxHA)xPB (Lolo) F2, F3
(BSxADY)xGC Sunspot F3
BSxAP Aji Sunrise F4
JBxBJB Jabooty F3, Brown
CDNxGC Sungold Habanero F3
And Datil from Pure Plorida

Depending on how these go, I may drop a few more soon.

I have one or two more crosses left to plant.

Thought I posted this already...

Signs of life.
Most of the old seeds are duds and I should throw them all out, but I can't bring myself to do it. It's been about three weeks and nothing much is popping so I'll give it another three and then trash everything that hasn't popped. Most everything here is pre 2020.

The last batch of seeds are going very slowly, mostly because they're very old seeds, some dating back to 2018. I'm sure most are duds.
I did just drop some fresh Datil, Bahamian Goat, Bonda Ma Jaques, Aji Inca Berry and Fried Chicken Pepper seeds this week.
We shall see what pops.

Things are moving slowly with all the rain, but the cooler temps means we get a few nights under 85° and a few peppers set. Spring plants are holding on overgrown in their 3 gallon pots, I rarely have to water.
Have some new seedlings coming up.
I Have potted up PF Datils, GhostBirds, and a NOID superhot I'm calling BRS, (Big Red Something) into 4" pots. Also Fried Chicken Pepper, Bahamian Goat, and Madam Jeanette sprouts in seed trays.

The potential hurricane is giving me anxiety.

Another small update, Plants are doing very well except the damn pepper flower bud moths are back, so I have to resort to more spraying. I'm torn between spraying BT or using Pyrethroids because I have a butterfly/pollinator garden all around my peppers. You simply cannot control these moth larvae without proper insecticides. No matter what I spray the lepidoptera will take a hit.

This is my favorite color of the Bhut X Bird (Ghostbird), and you can see the color progression in the photo. It goes through a deep red-brown phase which is just beautiful. It tastes as good as it looks.

I'm finally collecting seed of all of my select phenos to sell via etsy.

More daily harvests going on. We are luckily not being impacted by the hurricane. Unfortunately my right hand man at work is stuck in Haiti and can't get a flight out of the country until Friday at the earliest.

Fall boom time is happening. This is my pull today from about 7 plants.
The numbered pods are some of the ones I'm saving seeds from. They're not only the most prolific, they're also some of the best phenotypes.
