The Southern Islay weekend!

I had a personal issue in January and thought it best to have a clear head for a while and hadn't a drop since. But time has come and gone, and I really want to enjoy some quality Scotch. I'm an Islay Scotch guy, and I missed it the whole time. So this weekend I'll be smoking fish all day and sipping scotch!!!

Laphroig 10
Ardbeg 10
Lagavullin 16

The hammock next to the smoker is going to be extra nice!

I went through one of those stages and only just came out of it myself. Only had very limited contact with alcohol for 4 months.

3 great selections. I am also a big fan of Islay!! I absolutely love the Lagavilin and just finished off my Ardbeg 10 a few weeks ago. I have the Laphroig 15 year and love it for it's real earth tones. I just opened a 27 year old Port Ellen the other day and Oh My God it is mothers milk.....

Sounds like you'll be having a top Quality weekend...Enjoy!!

Nice, I love Laphroig. I think it was an 18 year that I had IIRC. There's this great place in Las Vegas called the Freakin Frog that's a simple bar with maybe 400 types of beer, but upstairs is a members only club with over 700 types of Scotch. Any imaginable style and price, ranging from $5 to over $600 a drink. I've tried maybe 50 of them, many of which I had never had before. If anyone is ever out there, I highly recommend going. It's not too difficult to find someone nice downstairs that will bring you upstairs as a guest without having to be a member, that's how I got in the first couple times.
