pics Thrips?.... or overwatering? (with pics)

Like title states, im having a few problems with my plants. I know i had thirds setting so I hit them with spinosad, which has worked for me perfectly in the past.

I can see the thrip damage, overwatering .....mmm not to sure. What type of light are they getting?

they are outdoors in the shade. sunlight in Panama where im at is strong so i keep them in the shade most of the time.
 
The last couple of weeks has seen a lot of rain and little sun though. Thats why I kind f thought overwatering.
