I have a bunch of different varieties of Tomato plants that are still large seedlings. I put them in the garden bed about 2 weeks ago and they are only about a foot high and a couple have set out flower buds at the top already. Here in Australia it's the middle of spring and its been quite hot so I don't think they should be budding yet.
I obviously want them to grow up tall and bush out a bit before they start putting all their energy into making flowers and fruit.
I think in Hydroponics the vegetative growth formulas have more nitrogen but I'm not sure ???
I've pinched off the buds and the suckers and given them some fish emulsion.
Anyone know why they'd flower already and what I should do to get them to grow tall?
