should i trim of the smaller lower leaves of the plant to help promote growth at the top, like i do my tomato plants and bell pepper plants and brocolli? thank you
You definitely can, but it is not necessary. Most of the time the lower older leaves will turn yellow after a while and fall off. I am a big fan of pulling off any leaves that are impeding light penetration into the lower portion of the plant. Usually these are large leaves 4-5" long.
Yeah I leave mine alone. As tgps said, they will prune themselves. I pick about 2 yellow leaves off the bottom of each plant a day. But they are replaced by a bunch of new ones.
