pod Unusual looking Ring Of Fire pods.

Well Iin retrospect  was pretty happy I did save some Ring Of Fire seeds for this year's season because it's actually a very nice and flavorful cayenne. A bit overlooked and undervalued imo.

So my sole RoF plant grew a bunch of pods (not yet ripe) and to my surprise all of them are shaped in the form of a Spanish / Upside down question mark or a fishing hook.

Every single pod on this plant has this appearance. They ALL look like this, not a straight pod in the bunch.

Is this normal ? I cannot remember ever seeing anything but straight, non-curly pods on my RoF plants.

Here's some pics :

Interesting. I'm growing ROF for the first time this year. My one plant is from purchased seeds (Seeds of Change). All of the pods are straight. The pods are not ripe yet, but I have already eaten a few and they are very tasty and hotter than the normal cayenne I have grown for years. If I save seeds from this years plant, maybe next year it will grow curved pods as well?

I got my ROF from Hendrix 1326. One pod had a slight crook in it but nothing like you have encountered. other wise all the other pods exhibit typical cayenne symmetry.
