Very cool pepper does it have the heat and flavor of a jalapeño?

yes heat is same/lower but the flavor is more rich earthy and irony like, you will like it more than the normal jalapenos, because the flavor is much stronger than the heat and last longer, the pods are juicier than the normal jalapenos, it has more sweetness than the normal store jalapenos.

That's what I'm saying rebel lol I would LOVE these seeds. Want to grow a bunch out along with PepperLovers "cracked jalapeno" this spring. Corking rules!

I'm growing this variety for the second year, last year my plant didn't had the correct pheno but this year 1 plant does. Still waiting for the pods to ripe of though, it's hard to see with all this corking

Stefan, the skin has got to be rough with those striations.  Let me know how it compares to your other jalapeno's.

Might try pm'ng SmokeMaster. Think I read some where he had seeds for this variety.

Got them from the original source, JF. They are really hard to find and not fully stable I noticed these 2 seasons. Will grow them again next season because those pods looks just awesome.

I will, Linda. Hope they ripen of pretty soon cuz temps are going lower every day. I haven't tasted them yet but the ones from last year were really fleshy and quite some more heat then your regular Jalapeno.
