wanted Wanted: Peri Peri & Peppadew / Chocolate Mutations | Have PayPal

Hi all,

I've got most of this season setup, but I'd really like to add some piri piri / peri peri, peppadews, and a few chocolate mutations (especially a douglah). I prefer ISO, but I'll take OP gladly. I'll pay postage and whatever you feel is fair for your seeds! I'm trying hard to keep this year's grow isolated, and hopefully I'll be in a better position to trade next year.

Got everything but the peppadews, but thankfully I've got some good leads due to the members of this forum!

I don't think you'll get true peppadew seeds since the original is a trademarked pepper and can only be found processed for removal of the seeds and reduction of the heat of the pepper. It is then pickled and bottled. which makes any left over seeds useless. there are a couple cousins of the peppadew and one is sold here---->peppadew seeds and I heard that [background=rgb(250, 250, 250)]the growing areas are protected by armed guards[/background]

I've heard the same, but I'm still holding out hope. I've spent roughly $30 this year on seeds from Seeds Direct, and I'm not entirely sure that they're going to grow true. Refining Fire stocks a cousin of the Peppadew, as indicated in the listing, but I'd really love the original. I've seen that people on other forums have grown it, and I'm sure that there's someone here that's picked it up from a friend of a friend.

Regardless, I want to thank you for your response. I know that in many ways it's a lofty and unreasonable request, but it's still something I would very much enjoy having for this season.

Here's something I found out about the Peppadew Seeds.
Good Luck finding true seeds.

The pepper is round and red like a cherry and has a sweet flavor with a slightly hot or piquant bite to it. The Peppadew company grows and bottles these peppers in South Africa under the Peppadew trademark. They try to keep a lock on the market by tightly controlling their growers to make sure seeds do not get out, but there are numerous people on the internet claiming to have seeds for sale. This would be an interesting pepper to grow.
