I have always be a plant guy and had grown chilis on a small scale for many years. In 2019, I have started breeding hot peppers. Current projects are crossing cool phenotypes into other species (stripey, superhot, leaf smell, fruit flavor (Reaper/Orange Hab)) as well as investigating fruit iridescence. And all of this under conditions of very limited space - it is surprising how many plants you can grow if you keep them tiny... As a scientist with a background in biology and chemistry, I am also trying to keep up with the Capsicum literature.
