cloning Went off and done built me a high-tech cloner thingy

Well I have always wanted to give cloning a go, and a couple members here have done projects on building a machine themselves so I decided to jump right on in. I don't necessarily have a great need for clones but by golly I wanted to do it. So here's my version of a cloning machine. I didn't do a step by step instructions on it, but it's pretty simple and cheap. I found the instructions on a cannabis forum of course. All together I think my cost was right around $40. The most expensive part was the 270 gph pump ($23 ebay) Anyways here's some pictures.

Those are 360° sprayers btw. I haven't tried any cloning yet as I just finished it yesterday but once I put something in it, I'll definitely show you folks the progress

Yep, I'll be making one this fall too before the first frost. I have a few good plants that I don't want to loose but yet my house isn't big enough to overwinter all the adult plants I want to keep.

My plan: put them in the cloner some time in October. Keep them there until they get roots. Then put the rooted clones in a window will so they get a little light to keep them alive but won't grow fast. I'll put them under the powerful lights in Feb when the seedlings will need them.

Fancy schmancy.  I am working on a little drip system with the end of the pvc going to something sort of like this.  Just a little smaller.  Looks very professional Vincent.

Well 4 days in and they're all still alive lol. I'm guessing that the cloner is doing its job. No roots yet of course, but from what I've read it takes 7-10 days

Will be keeping this thing updated. Just in case someonewants to build one and see if it actuallyy works, I'm pretty confident that it will.

whats the under side of the lid look like? are the stalks just hanging down in the water spray?
Yes, I cut the bottom half of the net pots out (keeps roots from getting tangled). So yea the cut part of the stem hangs past the net pot and is just constantly getting sprayed / misted

Do you let it run constantly or is it on a timer?
24 hours right now. When the roots get 3/4 an inch or so ill put it on a timer where it runs for 2 minutes, off for 20 seconds. The reason is that it will make the roots "search" for water = grow longer. Same reason you water plants in a container till water comes out of the bottom. The roots don't grow as well if they are getting everything they need right where they are.

I made a similar (much simpler) bubble cloner a few years ago. It worked ok, but the sprayer version like yours works better. Nicely done.

Will keep watching how it goes.  Debating on making one now or waiting till next year, got to much sheeeet as it is all over the place now is the problem.

What are the cuttings from?
