What is this?

I was just about to pot up this overwintered Jay's Peach Bhut when I noticed this. I have done a Google search and found a few pics that look like this but still no definitive answers. Is this possibly mycorrhizae or some type of non harmful fungus?
This soil is Fox Farms soil from last season.
The plant has been healthy all winter. It went dormant and I have had no pest problems.
For reference, the root ball is the size of the 6 gallon bucket that it was grown in.

That would be awesome if they were spider eggs!
I was about to pot up into a 10 gallon grow bag. I aborted that mission for the moment until I could get more information.
So now, what should I do? The new soil that I was going to use is Hyponex which is does not have organic fertilizer in it.
I'm thinking maybe I should get another bag of Fox Farm to use for this plant. Or maybe use some of my old soil from last  year that is in a different bucket?
I don't want to kill the spiders if that is what these are and/or kill the good fungi stuff either.
