health What is wrong with these leaves?

Some seller gifted me some "grilling pepper" seeds. I sprouted one and gave it to my brother as a gift for his garden. I was excited last week when he told me there was a pod, but now the pod has disappeared. The plant has unhealthy looking spots on the leaves. What is wrong with the plant and how can this be corrected?

Looks like chemical burn or spray burn.. Use any pesticides on or near it? Also, make sure it you don't water the leaves when watering it. Only the dirt at the base and around the plant.. The water on the leaves in the bright sun can burn spots on the leaves.
