What pepper did I eat with Lunch?

This is probably really hard to answer without pics. I'll bring my camera to work tomorrow and post a pic.

So I am eating lunch and a friend of mine arrives in the room, carrying a bag of what he described as Thai Peppers. I was eager to try one, as Thai's reportedly have 100,000 + scovilles. I ate one, about 2/3 down to the stem. It was very weak, less hot than a Jalapeno or Serrano. My guess was not more than 2,000 scovilles. The pods were cayenne type shapes, and long, probably around 4 to 6 inches. They were bright red. They were also thick, but I suspect they were a little waterlogged, having been in the refrigerator.

Without pics, any idea on what type of peppers these are?

Hopefully, pics will be coming tomorrow morning.

Only other evidence as to the type, is the number of seeds per pod. I counted around 60 after deseeding one pod. Not sure if this narrows anything down.
