bottles-jars Where do you get your 5 Oz woozy bottles from & lowest cost

Hello all,

I am looking for the best deal on 5 oz Woozy bottles - I recently bought a large lot from Fillmore Container's in Lancaster PA. They were $3.85 per case of 12 bottles. (( http://www.fillmorecontainer.com/Jars/5-oz-Woozy-Bottle-CT.htm )) does anyone know of a better deal? They arrived well packed and were delivered quick - highly recommended, although if someone knows of a better deal, please do tell.

Had them shipped and the shipping prices were a little expensive (but expected as they are heavy) next time I'll likely just go and pick up a truck load of like 20 cases as they are only about 100 miles from me. BTW... if you are in NOVA (Washington DC area) next time I go I'd be happy to split a pick-up truck full of cases, just drop me a line (dr_info@yahoo.com)

Does anyone know a good source for 1.5 oz woozy type bottles to use a samples when making the juice?

General poll - where do you get your bottles from? (and cost)

I have been researching this lately and found SKS (http://www.sks-bottl...opping_cart.php) to be as cheap as they come. Free shipping w/ an order of $250 or more. That comes out to 36 cases of 5 oz, 3-144 ct. bags of lids and 3-144 ct. bags of shrink bands. That comes to a total order of $250.56, which is $0.58/bottle delivered. I'm assuming no tax unless you live in NY.

I just checked into Richards in Memphis (http://www.richardsm....com/r1009.html) because the price sounded so good. They gave me a quote of $0.45/bottle and $0.04/lid, but they don't sell the shrink bands, which are pretty cheap anyway. They do have a $500 minimum and there will be shipping charges (and tax if you live in TN).

These are the best 2 deals I have seen. Just make sure w/ SKS that you choose the "Bulk" option, which is currently $5.52/case. I just ran the same numbers through Filmore and the order was $224, but shipping was $103, which brought the cost up to $0.76/bottle. Specialty Bottle was about the same - they charged me $115 for shipping ($0.78/bottle) - and that doesn't include shrink bands.

Hope someone finds this useful.

never seen cap colors other than red, white and black, doesn't mean they're not out there somewhere. You can get blue shrink bands, but you'd probably have to do some digging to find the right size band in a small quantity. Or dip in blue wax, probably the quickest and most cost effective for small quantity. Wax goes for $10-15/#, enough for a couple hundred woozys.

I am 45 minutes from fillmore in Camp Hill. It is worth the 1.5 hour roundtrip for me. I usually pick up 6-10 cases at a time. I just need to shop around for shrink seals. I am glad they are close as shipping kills the cost per bottle.

How do you arrange a pick up?  Can you just roll in there or did you pre-order online?

You can just roll in, but they prefer preorder. You can order and pay online and note in the shipping section that you will be picking up and when(preferably next day or later). Or you can even call in the order(have part numbers ready) and pay over the phone or tell them you will pay on pickup if you prefer the cash method.

I just posted about global pak http://www.globalpak.net/neck-bands - they have different color shrink bands and you can order them in different sizes.

I'm close to them, but I have a good supplier in Tampa for woozies - All American Container.  http://americancontainers.com/locations.php They've got a lot of locations.

How much are you paying for the woozies?
I get a wholesale price because I've done biz with them before...let's just say it's under $2.00 for a case.  That doesn't include the caps or shipping.  I'm close enough that I don't mind the hour or so drive to pick them up.

I have based my purchasing bottles by landed cost. For me Fillmore had great case price but had to add caps and shipping had to be 10% more than other places. Like freund was reasonable and really close to me. If you plan to buy lots of bottles best to find close (shipping) and keep using them and keep in mind landed cost over everything else. Might be help volume is everything even if it is over a years time.
