I've never seen anything like that. Did it happen on its own or did you do something to make that happen?

Looks like an aborted flower fell from above and got wedged inbetween two stems.

Its firmly attached although it looks like its going to be aborted.

Strange. Came right out of a split in the stem didn't it? I think it's kinda cool.

You can tell the budsite was "stretched" all the way down from the upper node to the bottom node and the budsite just so happened to be right in the middle.
