I'm going to try to clone my moruga plants by taking the clippings and sticking them in worm bedding. The reason that I want to try this is, a few years ago I burried the core of a lettuce head into a worm bead as worm food. Weeks later when I was turning the beading I noticed the lettuce core was covered with roots and trying to grow a stem and new leaves.

I would call the bedding where I place the cutting "worm compost". It's in a worm bed where the bedding is not quite finished worm castings.
That's vermicompost. 
There is nothing better.
