Hi everyone! My name is Jason and I' a newb to the forum. I was doing some research for a hot sauce brand I am launching and really like the dialog between members answering "dumb questions" and figured this looks like a great community to join. I have been growing peppers and making hot sauces on and off for years. Last year I started my first bunch of Datil pepper plants. My favorite pepper and one I have wanted to grow for 20 years! It took about 200 seeds to get 13 plants. Hurricane Helene killed my 7 right after Debbie blew all the buds off (what luck). On the bright side, I went by my hurricane-riddled house the other day and my Tabasco and 2 datil plants came back to life! I moved them to my new place and replanted them. I will try to keep these mothers going all winter and maybe try and get them to fruit lol. I am into both growing peppers and sauces. My future pepper goals are to launch a successful hot sauce business that focuses on honesty and simplicity and create a cross-bred pepper of my own!
