I've never forgot to harden plants off but I killed all my plants the first year I started them by seed by putting them directly outside. Definitely not a step you want to skip or forget.
I thought I read some thread in the last day that rotating the camera solved the sideways thing, but I keep forgetting anyway. On the not hardening, yes, have toasted or fried perfectly good plants. Nice setback on a tray or so of primo seedlings. I am now over-protective.
When my wife and I moved to our current apartment, it was smaller than the previous one. I gave up the ghost pepper plant and kept the jamaican hot chocolate. The JHC went outside right away and almost all the leaves were ripped off by the wind. I only got one pepper and when I opened it up I saved the seed. It was a good pepper. None of the seed germinated when I tried to start them the next year. If I were to grow indoors again, I would get a lot more lighting and put fans on the plants from the beginning.

Im at the point where Im just going to leave them out and just like, pray. Worst case scenario these peppers are young I can just go buy new ones and harden them off properly
