Yellow Scotch Bonnets fro Grand Cayman

I'm growing some yellow SB's that I picked up in a market in grand cayman. I fell in love with the flavor and heat of them while we were vacationing. The hot sauce made from them is tops in my book, i've yet to find a tastier hot sauce than what we brought back from there. 
 
I got a hundred or more seeds from them and have started germinating the first batch on new years day. So far 14 days later, 15/18 have popped up and look healthy.
 
My focus this season is going to be on the yellow scotch bonnets but I'll also be growing....

Nice list! I'm growing Scotch Bonnets for the first time this year, I've heard they are delicious. Good luck with your grow this season.

A good way to post pics is to upload them to imgur, or your photo host of choice, and then past the BB Code link here. (Or click the img icon in the post tools, and paste in the direct link there, such as http://yourphotohost/yourpic.jpg

Here is some red scotch bonnets that i grew last year... not very good. Turk's cap in background... nice big mild pepper.

Yes I do like the flavor of Scotch Bonnets....I always make sure I have afew plants in the garden.......because its the only pepper in my mind that makes the pefect Jerk Marinades for chicken and pork. :party:

I have for the past two seasons grown only scotch bonnets my challenge to grow every variety that I could including hybrids ... In the first picture of those that you have bought from the market the pod top right is very similar to SBTJ (True Jamaican) the pod left of the red centre one (Yellow with grooves) similar to Trenton Farmers Market

Nice choice shame about the red ones - I haven't a SB from the Grand Cayman maybe we can trade some seed
 
The pepper garden got sidetracked when my tray of seedlings got washed out by a big rain. I started over with another 20 or so yellow scotch bonnets but they are only a few weeks old now. 
 
I'll get some pics up once they get some size on them. 
 
I googled the trenton famers market and they do look similar. I think these look very similar to the MOA Jamaicans also. For all I know they were grown in JA and imported over to Grand Cayman, it seemed like there was alot of Jamaicans living and working on grand cayman. 
 
I'm open to trading some seeds. I still have some original seeds from the island.

I put about a hundred in soil to germinate. Fingers crossed some will grow into healthy bushes.

Good luck. Even if you only get a 10-20%
germination, you will still have plants for
growing! Or, they could all pop, then you
will have too many!
