You guys amaze me.

I thought I was a bad ass being able to eat 1 habanero and handling almost every hot wing (except 2 places). Compared to some of you, I am not fit to wipe your butts after a pepper fest (not that I want to). :P

This is how all of us started. Have patience. Soon you would be in our league.

Just enjoy whatever chiles you like, theres no need to play macho man and just eat Scorpions and 7 pot/pods all the time. Not all of us can be like Neil(THSC), or as I like to call him "The Bhut whisperer" :)

Novacastrian acts tuff but I've seen him cry after licking the outside of a Jalapeno and had to run for the milk!!!

I think we have found a new nick name for Neil..:D

Heh, it reminds me of a post I made the other day.

Just a normal post, but it included the phrase "while I was slicing up a Dorset Naga for a sandwich".

It occurred to me, while actually reading that...holy hell...I'm doing WHAATTT!?!

It took me like 10 yrs to go from the generic jalapeno/cayenne/etc. to Habs and the discovery of Dave's and Blair's in 1996. Then, a few more years of that and I discovered there were much hotter and better things. A whole new world of flavors and heat I'd never imagined...it's been downhill ever since.

It's funny how it all starts simple...the next thing ya know it's just normal to be eating stoopidly hot food all the time. :D

I agree with Potawie though, do push boundaries and explore, but ya should enjoy doing so.

I am drinking a fresh 7 Pot concentrate Bloody Mary right now that is bloody good...

does that make me a freak?...nope, it makes me one lucky guy...the flavors of the 7 Pot meld so wonderfully with the bloody mary mix including the standard tabasco sauce, and Angusturas bloody mary spice that it is unbelievable...

grinning here....my life is complete today

well, i had a chicken phal curry for my lunch today-shop bought, & not hot enough, so i chopped a small scotch bonnet into it for some extra heat & flavour.boy, that hit the spot!
just a year ago, i would never have been able to eat all that without being very uncomfortable indeed, but i savoured the flavour, & hardly sweated!great stuff!!

oh my mouth is watering now!!!!!

2009 season is over and i don't have a lot left in the freezer and all indian takeaways are closed now!!!!

but yea tolerance does take time to build up,
but it is fun to go into your local Indian with a handful of some home grown and ask the waiter to get the chef to add them to your dish!!! I've had chefs come out o the kitchen to have a chat (quite a long chat!) about chillies and hot before, this is good for when you pay a return visit!

Are you in the Smokefest Throwdown?

Probably not....got quite a bit going on this weekend. Plus, I'm WAY outclassed here when it comes to smoking and BBQ. I'll probably just watch this one.
