No sir, i shall start a " show me your bits" thread.
Harry you know the saying where there is fire...... I'm not really good at identifying pests but I know aphids and ants come hand in hand. So I made the plant was moved somewhere, where the ants can't get back to it easy. I know won't hurt my plants, where with something like ant sand, I have no idea.
Last week I gave my plants some seasol/eco amingro. First time l've tried eco amingro, still trying to work out what else I could try, but in the interest of learning decided I wanted to see what impact eco amingro would make. This plant has had a yellow color to it for sometime. I have seen yellowing as a sign of over watering. But to me the leaves look infected when they die and fall off, not sure what the issue is. Should try get a pic, just need to work out a way to get good pics with this damn camera phone.
Hey Jayman by the looks of things your in Sydney so if you want good prices on buckets and tubs check out this website. http://mooreequipmen...r_id=8833690693 . They are only $9.60 a pop. They've also got those blue drums too great for mixing up big amounts of fertiliser. Hope this helps cause it took me ages to find cheaps containers that were'nt sold by the pallet load.
Would you be game to take a look at the root ball of the Yellow Hab? Is the yellowing between the veins of the leaves?
Saddly Bunnings didn't have pots/buckets available at a good price. They wanted $17 each for 20 litre buckets. They had also sold out of the only thing I would have liked, 60cm pots @$6.50 each.
Those leaves look very similar to my issues. Most/all of my plants exhibiting those issues was or is (I suspect) rootbound. Once they are repotted they seem to recover well. I also suspect mine may be lacking calcium/sulphur/magnesium because of the lack of root space.
Three things Bunnings are always out of stock of:
Pots. And always only the size you need. They have every other bloody pot in stock except yours.
Coir bricks. And always only the type you want. Every other type is overflowing with stock except yours.
And lastly. Anything else you specifically made a special trip out for!
I do want to add another fert to my eco amingro/seasol combo. I have used Nitrophoska, which I just sprinkled on the soil and watered in, but even then that was 2 months ago. Thinking of using powerfeed, also considering looking for something with worm castings.

Some great pics you got there gas. Whats the heat like from the hybrid your growing? Hope you had great Aussie day.
The aphids are on the march here. I've avoided spraying during the heat wave to not burn the plants. It's now getting to the point where I have to spray again. Kill them with fire.
Yellow Bhut:
(As you can see, I've decided to make this thread my glog 'cause I'm too lazy to start one....)
