Hey ya'll, just sold my '83 Strat on consignment down at the local vintage guitar joint I shop. Went to collect the check and saw an '08 non Custom Shop Les Paul Jr. I had played before. I had mentioned it to mrs. blues and she suggested I roll over the cash from the strat into the Jr. Oh how I love my wife!

Pure P90 monster tone ya'll. I got the 'thang home and had a threesome with me, the Jr. and a Marshall 2204 50w. 10 minutes later, I had come 3 times and the 2204 was pregnant! This is the sound of rock! Whipped out the slide on "Just Got Paid" and nailed it like a $1,000 Vegas call girl!

Lock the doors and pull down the shades....here's some guitar porn!

Thanks Ballzy. Awhile back it was blowing fuses and found out the tube sockets for the power section were grounding out and frying. I had JJ's in the pre and Ruby's in the power section then. My amp guru put in new Mullards across the board. The 'thing sounds like Godzilla. Pure audio sex I tell ya'. The 25w greenie's in the cab don't hurt a 'thang either.

Very nice guitars guys !! Here's my favorite at this time. This is a little non traditional , besides the color. It has Line6 Variax guts. For those that don't know a Variax "models " others guitars. So along with the POD X3 stomp box you get the sounds of many models of guitars and amp set-ups. It's not a midi thing , it uses piezo pick ups under the bridge.

It also has more traditional mag pick ups. I can switch from the Variax guts to the mag pick ups or blend the two set ups. It's different but all I need to pack is one guitar now.

I just sold my Strat. Hardly picked it up in the last five years. I always found that I had to wrestle with it. Les Pauls just suit me better and give the tone I hear in my head.
Don't make me post a pic of SRV with a Les Paul. I'll do it! I mean it!
