has anyone tried grinding dried zest in with their powders?
i have some dried orange zest and currently drying a batch of fataliis. i'm thinking of adding a little for that extra flavor kick. would be great on some grilled fish or chicken.
Yes, works awesome with peppers that already have a decent citrus flavor like lemon drops. Great for fish and chicken dishes. I only do it for personal use since I do not grow the citrus tress and I am very particular about what I sell and or mix.
Yes, I think I used 1/10th ratio of zest to powder. I prefer lime zest the most but to each their own. Lime zest and scotch bonnet powder along with a few other things and you have some Caribbean love...
