Hey Everyone!
I took some great photos of chiltepin plants today. But after spending three hours trying in vain to post them on this forum, I've given up! Please let me know if there is an easy way to post them here. If not, no big deal at this point!

Use an easy access place like TinyPic.com.
PhotoStream has issues with direct links.
Not to mention protected pics are no real protection.

Tim. I dont know if this will help or not but... i use my phone to take and upload pics probably 98% of the time. I rarely use a laptop or desktop. I mention this, as the following applies to mobile uploads etc.
the way i finally got pics to upload (relatively) easily, was to use Photobucket.
I got the free app & uploaded whichever pics to PBucket.
i then opened up a browser window for thehotpepper forum but not the mobile version. Scroll to the bottom of the window and choose "desktop version".
Now, i open another browser window and go to the desktop site for photobucket. I go to my albums &/or pics etc i'm interested in linking to. When you get to the image, etc you want to use, look to your right and thefe ought to be several options like :
Email & IM http://s1276.photobucket.com/album
Direct link http://i1276.photobucket.com/albums
HTML code <a href="http://s1276.photobucket.co
IMG code http://i1276.photobucket.com/al
Now, i believe the bottom one, the " IMG code " is the one we are looking for.... highlight the actual code on that line, the part starting with [IMG]http..... copy and paste it into your post on the other browser window you had open. You know, the one back on thehotpepper dot com? Lol. Almost forgot, didn't we?!?
Anyway, paste it where you want it in your post & when your finished, press the preview / submit button to see how it looks.
Let me know if this helps or hinders you.
I've had a few beers and just sprayed some aphid stuff down here in my woodshop/indoor pepper growing room... for all i know, i'm dreaming this whole thing and when i wake up, JR will be alive and well... rofl

Does the site have resizer software? Not that I like going that route. While I have rarely ever gone that route and AFAIK not on THP site yet, what’s the best width to edit to stay within the site parameters? Thanks!
u can also use photo bucket
The size doesn't matter, it will scale down to your browser's window size if it is large, so if in doubt, bigger is better.
If your picture stays up more than 4 hours call Scovie.

Some will tell you "size doesn't matter." The software will force your images to show at a size to fit the page. That's all cool and the gang, but if you've got a page with a ton of pics on it, and all those pics are huge, it takes those of us who want to look at them time both for the browser to download them and for the software to resize them. My camera has an "email attachment" size setting that makes the pics come out at 640px x 480px at 180ppi resolution, and the pics load quickly and look decent in a browser. You should know that most computers still won't display anything higher than 72ppi, so even the 180ppi could be scaled down. So if you have a similar setting on your camera, I suggest using it instead of the biggest picture size your camera will make.
