So far I've been picking off any flower buds that I see in order to encourage more growth. At what plant size should I stop picking off flower buds and just let them bloom?

What size should my plants be when I let them bare fruits?

What size is your plant now?
The tallest ones I have are about 1-1.5 feet tall with some branching (Anaheim variety). The others are probably half of that size (Jalapeno, habanero, cayenne, and california wonder).
Stake them and you should be good I think
Here's what I do:
Picture the plant with a full size pod on it. Does it look silly? If so, pinch.

Plant size does not matter environmental conditions do, I have small plants a year old bearing fruit at the moment.
