just a tip for you

Next time you order Thai food tell them "super Thai hot".
They always seem not to believe a white guy like me can handle heat.

That can be a mistake, of course, depending on your threshold for pain.  I once told the little, old Thai waitress, that I wanted my food "how she liked it".  I took the food home to eat, took a few bites, and knew I wouldn't be finishing it.  I lifted up the transparent, plastic dish, and looked at the bottom.  It was covered with seeds.

Very true. I, like a lot of you here, crave the heat. The trouble is that most places feel that a white guy can't possibly handle the heat. Once in a while I find a place that meet my needs, but it does not happen often enough.

I used to order the highest level curry always, 5 of 5 and it came with a crappy dried ghost powder on top. Still trying to convince the chef he should use my powders. I now stick to the 4 of 5 and bring my own additional heat. There are not spicy Thai peppers to hot for me however. I love THAI!!!!!!!!!!!!

I managed to convince the local ice cream place to use my stuff instead of jalapenos for spicy ice cream. Local Indian place still has problems. I asked for the hottest they had once, and found a whole bhut in it.
