This evening I was tending my plants and was pleased to see one of my C. galapagoense has hooked!
The seed were started on 2-9-2014. Planted in these Rootcubes (2 C. galapagoense at top and 2 C. chacoense at the bottom)
The Rootcubes set in a jar lid atop a heat mat at about 85 degrees. The clear plastic cup sets over them creating a mini greenhouse. This has provided a humid environment over the rootcubes.
I have watered them such that they would be very wet then nearly dry out - back and forth like that.
Today is 3-19-2014, so the hook comes at day 38 after sowing the seed.
Not much to see yet, but I'm tickled with it!
