Hey, Scott.  So far, so good.  It's a little depressing to think
plant-out is at least 3-4 months away for us   :mope:

These last two are a little early for potting up, but they had decent root systems, and I was on a roll:

What seems striking to me is the amount of growth that happens between 24 and 31 days.
The plants just seem to shift to overdrive in the beverage cups.  They may slow down a bit
while they fill their new pots with roots, but these may get large too quickly, and have to go
to the greenhouse.

Is the days since stand up or sowing? Either way fantastic progress! I put 18 under a 30% sunshade Sat. and 18 more Sunday after moving them to 1 gallon pots. 6 or 8 had heat issues, most just hung in there, but a few really took off. Now back under the lights again...

I had to laugh out loud when I read about the 30% sunshade.  Heat issues?   :rofl:
 
We are into a week of really good weather for this time of year, here.  Highs
in high 50's, low 60's, and nights in low 40's!  Sunday through Wednesday
supposed to be sunny (Meaning night temps in high 30's). Woot!  Then it will
start rainy and cool again.  But can't complain too much.  We basically live
in a temperate rainforest garden in the PNW   ;)   I'll bet your plants liked the
burst of sunshine.
 
The days on the pics are from emergence of the hook.

I think having a fan on them helps with the stocky growth.  
The lights are T5HO; I'd love to have a grow room with an HPS!

It is a chinense, but I remember it ripened fairly early last season.

I have seen some sites list it as a chinense, but Refining Fire Chilis, 
where the seed came from, lists it as an annuum, but with Scotch
Bonnet heat,  but when I grew them in 2013, they had no heat whatsoever,
but but they did have great flavor.  I use it to mellow out the hot red powders.

I love the Inca Lost.  One of my favorites from last year;
made an awesome powder, dense and fluffy with great
flavor.
 
I have been having trouble with germination, though.  The
seed in the Aerogarden and some in peat cells never popped
for me.  Unusual to have two methods fail.  So, they are going
to get a third try in the Jiffy pellets.  These are self-saved seed,
so I may just have not saved the right pods!

Very possible, Jim.  Wouldn't be the first pepper to sport two species.
I've seen the yellow ones advertised, as well.

I already changed my Annuum list to add in the Yellow Jamacian mushrooms I grew a couple of years ago. Some places (including the place I originally got the seeds from) try to pass them off as scotch bonnets, but when you see them grow, and taste them they are definitely annuums.

Well yes, and they sunburn when it goes into the 80's here, and then the drying winds. I had about 15% wilt even with the sunshade. They're back out again this afternoon, except the wilty gals ;)
