does anyone here program apps?

I have a question about the feasibility of making this app. I really hate tomato horn worms, with a passion. I kill theme very time i see one, but I know how hard it is to find them when they're small. By the time they get bigger, devastation could have already happened. My question is, would it be possible to create an app that works sort of like how the government spots marijuana using a UV spectrum? Essentially, using your camera phone to look for the specific color range that these dam hornworms are and the enhancing that brighter to show you exactly where those little A-holes are. Thoughts?
 
not sure, never tried it. I'd have to get a black light and see what happens! But i figured with all these "filters" on picture apps, i don't see why a recognition of a certain RBG spectrum would be entirely difficult. But, i don't program so what do i know
