Topping off in a DWC vs. full res changes

What are your habits for full reservoir changes vs. just topping off with a pH controlled nute (i.e. Sensi Grow A+B Perfect pH) in my case? I worry about keeping the right pH and ppm by just topping off. For reference I am using one small soup cup stacked inside a large soup cup (https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/_HgXnxH6YQFY/TYflAoL9B4I/AAAAAAAAC9k/mLqC_E0A2XI/s512/photo%201.JPG) and have an air stone in each of these. However, it is becoming a bit of a pain to change out the whole cup for 12+ cups. Can you simply keep topping off from a big batch of premixed pH controlled nutes and still be okay?

Topping off is OK between full change outs - especially if your res gets a little low...  but you can't just keep doing it forever.  Eventually your PPM will go way up, and you will be accumulating salts.

It has been so long, but it seems like I used to top off until my PPM started getting a little bit iffy, and then I changed the whole batch.  Can't remember specific numbers...

I've done both, and I would say that it depends on the plant. Some plants seemed to really enjoy just topping off, others needed fresh water changes. I found my jalapenos wanted the water changes more whereas my chinense varieties seemed to do just fine with a quick leveling off. Not sure if this helps, but it was my experience.
