ID this pepper

Good news:  The plant I was complaining about not fruiting here finally has its first pepper.

Bad news:  It was labeled as a Trinidad Moruga Scorpion but shape looks more like a Thai of some sort.  Can anybody ID it or is it too early?

Sorry it's so blurry.  Reason I am suspicious is the same place sold me another scorpion (a couple weeks apart) that turned out to be a thai chili.  But the shape of the plant is different and the peppers are growing sticking straight up rather than hanging down.  Hopefully these pods will fatten up and turn out to be superhots.  Nothing worse than waiting 2 months for something you don't even want...

Sorry to read your misfortune .. TMS is a C. Chinense which has broader leaves .. the leaves you show look like Annuum ... as JHP says too early yet but it certainly isn't a Scorpion

Well that sucks.  That means the plant right next to that one is my last real chance at a superhot this season.  This one is supposed to be a Carolina Reaper and is from a different, hopefully more reputable vendor.  Does it look to be the right leaves for a reaper?

Looks like c. chinense, but this may be your scorpion.   I've found reapers to have more wrinkled leaves.

Careful with those beetles you see on the leaves there. I had the same beetles that were destroying my Mustard Habs, had to spray an Organic Insecticide on them. They were burrowing into my habs, every single one of them making them inedible. Better get rid of them before you get pods. (They also got one of my Borg 9 Bleeders but only one. Im wondering if it was too hot for them) Otherwise the second plant could be reaper or Scorpion, hard to tell at this point in the game, when pods start developing it will be easy to tell, Scorpions tend to have smoother skin with the tail while reapers are almost always "bumpy" with a long tail. Happy growing!
