SKULLBIKERS Fun with peppers in 2021 GLOG

And so it begins, another year of growing some peppers. This will be a sort of continuation of last year

as several of those plants are still going(and many got whacked and ended up on the burn pile). 
 
Anyway, I have 3 trays of peppers sown and many have germinated already(mostly annums). I wanted to compare several different jalapeños for taste in real time. This tray is all jalapeños, ten types from 7 different vendors. The seeds in block 3 are from 2014.

Another tray with annums at each end and mostly rocotos in the middle(and they're taking their sweet time).

Will do. And I will probably be using them in this years FLOG(food log). I will be starting the new one soon as I just yesterday made up a new batch of kohlrabi kimchi.

There isn't much for chinenses, so far. The third tray has a bunch of old seeds planted as a last ditch effort to see if they are viable.

A few of PollenNuts Poblano X Scarletts Chili F2 crosses to grow out. If the pods are as prolific and tasty as the F1, there's going to be a lot of sauce and relish!

Ive started a few of these same peppers (F2).  It's hard for me to tell by the pic but do you see any varigation on any of the leaves?  Out of the 3 that I started, one has white areas on some leaves.  
The F1's were tasty!

I have not noticed any variegation yet, but they did just germinate. A couple of them do have purple stems though.

These are the last to germinate in the flat of jalapenos(they were in block 3 of the tray in post #1). 
They are Primo Jalapenos from Gurneys, the seed was from 2014. I think last year was the only year in the last 9 or 10 years that I did not grow these.

Paquime Hybrid Jalapenos, last year these were some LARGE jalapenos.

And Biker Billy Jalapenos, not always large but usually good flavor.
